Our Mission
Empower People To Embrace
a Plant-Forward
Lifestyle.
Where fruits and vegetables are
the foundation of a healthy and vibrant life.
Only 10% of adults eat enough fruits and vegetables.
This alarming statistic has serious implications. No wonder heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative diseases are so widespread.
Fruits and vegetables are powerhouses of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, fiber, and other essential nutrients that protect our health long-term. At Good Thinking Foods, we envision a world where consuming fruits and vegetables is easy and enjoyable, leading to better overall health, happiness, and well-being.
The Power of Plant-Based Protection
Modern medicine saves lives, but it can't fully combat the diseases linked to poor diet. What we eat plays a massive role in our health. By making smart dietary choices, we can safeguard our bodies and minds for a longer, more vibrant life.
Research shows a whole-food, plant-based diet can significantly reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Here's what happens when you prioritize fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds:
- Better Heart Health: Antioxidants and healthy fats promote cardiovascular health, reducing heart disease risk. Numerous meta-analyses demonstrate a strong link between higher fruit and vegetable consumption and reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
- Cancer Prevention: Phytochemicals help reduce cancer causing inflammation and shield your DNA from damage. The World Cancer Research Fund estimates that up to 20% of all cancers could be prevented through adequate fruit and vegetable intake.
- Type 2 Diabetes Prevention: Fiber and other compounds regulate blood sugar, potentially lowering the risk of diabetes. Studies indicate that a diet rich in plant foods could reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by 30-50%.
- Brain Preservation: Research shows that the biocompounds and micronutrients in fruits and vegetables help slow cognitive decline and reduce the risk of developing neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's.

Our Story
After losing his mother to Alzheimer’s Disease and heart disease, our founder David Hattenbach went on a personal journey to learn ways to lower his risk for these chronic conditions. This led him to the ground-breaking research being done on the Mediterranean Diet and the MIND Diet and the link between nutrition and chronic disease. What he learned forever changed David's approach to food and inspired him to create Good Thinking Foods as a way to help people get on a path to optimal health and long term disease prevention.
